The London (UK) Neonatal Cranial Ultrasound Course is Coming to North America, Calgary, Canada

International experts from UK, The Netherlands, and Canada

In collaboration with Drs. Lara Leijser, Hussein Zein, James Scott, and Khorshid Mohammad from Calgary Neonatal Neuro-Critical Care (NNCC) and Sonographic Clinical Assessment of the Newborn (SCAN) groups.

CUS day 1 (September 21, 2022)

Targeted participants are those who are starting to build cranial ultrasound competency. Didactic lectures will cover the basics of cranial ultrasound (normal and abnormal) and doppler.

Delegates will also have the chance to practice hands-on cranial ultrasound using simulators to learn machine knobology, normal brain anatomy, acute and chronic preterm brain injury, and PHVD measurements and management.

CUS day 2-3 (September 22-23, 2022)

Targeted participants are those who have experience in cranial ultrasonography. Didactic lectures and case-based interactive quizzes to cover diagnostic and prognostic practices.

Delegates will also have the chance to practice hands-on cranial ultrasound using simulators to learn other forms of preterm brain abnormalities, brain malformations, cerebral doppler, and cerebellar injury.

SCAN workshop (September 20, 2022)

Targeted participants are those who are starting to build other organs' point of care ultrasound competency. Didactic lectures will cover the basics of cardiac, lung and bladder ultrasound and ultrasound-guided line insertion.

Delegates will also have the chance to practice hands-on cardiac, lung and bladder ultrasound, pericardiocentesis, and ultrasound-guided umbilical line insertion and position assessment using simulators and phantoms.
